Accused involved in gang-rape of innocent girl at Alwar, Rajasthan should be strictly punished: S. Harjinder Singh Dhami

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the attack on Sikh Sangat in Bhojpur district of Bihar in which some Sikhs were injured while returning from Takht Sri Harmandar Ji Patna Sahib.

He said that the incident of stone-pelting and cane-charging on the Sikh Sangat is highly unfortunate and the Bihar government should get this incident impartially probed.

SGPC President said that the Bihar chief minister (CM) Shri Nitish Kumar who did great service during the birth centenary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru, should come forward for providing justice to the victims in this incident. He said that the SGPC will coordinate with Bihar government and a letter has been written to Bihar CM, for taking strict action against the miscreants who attacked the Sikh Sangat in Charpokhari area of Bhojpur district on Sunday.

Meanwhile, SGPC President Advocate Dhami strongly condemned the incident of reported gang-rape with a specially-abled girl in Alwar, Rajasthan.

Advocate Dhami said that the case of gang-rape of an innocent girl in Alwar is a disgrace on the forehead of humanity and the accused involved should not be spared.

He said that regarding this case the SGPC is in contact with the local Sikh representatives and support will be provided in this case at every level. The accused persons should be arrested and severely punished in an exemplary manner.
