Amritsar, January 1:

On the arrival of New Year, Sri Akhand Path Sahib was organised for Sarbat Da Bhala (welfare of all) at Sri Guru Ramdas Charitable Hospital running under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) at Amritsar. During the bhog (culmination) ceremony, hazuri raagi jatha of Bhai Sukhjinder Singh connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan.

SGPC President S. Harjinder Singh Dhami and prominent personalities attended the event.

Speaking on this occasion, S. Harjinder Singh said Sri Guru Ramdas Charitable Hospital is working for the betterment of humanity and its management prays for the well being of the patients, which gives strength to doctors and staff to serve with determination and provides mental strength to the patients.

S. Harjinder Singh said the healthcare institutions of the SGPC have always given priority to better health services as well as human welfare.

Referring to the services rendered during COVID-19 pandemic by the organisation, S. Harjinder Singh said in this hard time the patients were treated by setting up wards at various places and exemplary service of free vaccination against pandemic was also offered. He said that even during the farmers’ protest; the health institutions of SGPC took the lead.

SGPC President said that the Sikh body is committed to provide quality healthcare services to the people, which are also being expanded for future.
