The Nagar Kirtan dedicated to the 400th Prakash Purab of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji that started from Gurdwara Guru Ke Mahal, today departed from Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi to Gurdwara Bala Sahib.
Before the departure of Nagar Kirtan, the religious programme was organised, in which, the raagi jatha connected the sangat with Gurbani kirtan.
On this occasion, the SGPC assistant secretary Dr Paramjit Singh Saroa connected the sangat with the life history of Guru Tegh Bahadur. He appealed to the sangat to attend the ceremonies to be held at Sri Amritsar Sahib on the occasion of the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. The gurdwara management honoured the Panj Pyare Sahiban and Nishanchi Singhs and prominent personalities with the Siropao (robe of honour).
There was great enthusiasm for Nagar Kirtan among the sangat of Delhi. A large number of sangat paid homage to Guru Sahib. On the way to Nagar Kirtan, the sangat at various places gave a hearty welcome and paid homage to Guru Sahib by presenting Rumala Sahib. The sangat also set up langar at various places.
On this occasion, Delhi Sikh Mission in-charge S. Surinderpal Singh Samana, S. Jasbir Singh Jassi assistant in-charge Delhi Mission, in-charge S. Kartar Singh, S. Paramjit Singh, S. Baldev Singh, head granthi Bhai Harpreet Singh, S. Gurpal Singh, S. Avtar Singh, S. Jaswinder Singh, S. Jasbir Singh, Pracharak Bhai Kulwant Singh, and a large number of sangat was present.
