Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Friday observed the martyrdom day of Sikh General Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa at Gurdwara Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in Amritsar.
After the bhog of Akhand Path Sahib, the group of hazuri ragi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib Bhai Jagdeep Singh performed the Gurbani Kirtan and Bhai Gurcharan Singh did prayer.
Meanwhile, kathawachak of Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Bhai Harmitar Singh connected the sangat with the life history of Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa.
Bhai Harmitar Singh said that the great General of the Sikh community Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa is well-known worldwide for his bravery and he contributed especially in establishing the Sikh Empire.
On this occasion, SGPC additional secretary S. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, S. Partap Singh, assistant secretary S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, S. Simarjeet Singh, S. Sakatar Singh, S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, manager Sri Darbar Sahib S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, superintendent S. Malkit Singh Beharwal and others were present.
