Former Jathedar Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti cremated in the presence of Panthic personalities

Bibi Jagir Kaur, Giani Jagtar Singh, Giani Raghbir Singh and other sampradas paid homage departed soul Amritsar, May 18: Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, who passed away on May 15, was cremated near Gurdwara Sangrana Sahib Patshahi Chhevin in Amritsar on Tuesday. On this occasion prominent personalities of the Sikh panth visited the last rites and paid their last homage to Jathedar Vedanti. The last rites of Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti's pyre were performed by his family members. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Bibi Jagir Kaur, head granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh, additional granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Baba Avtar Singh Sursingh and other dignitaries of various sampradas and kar sewa offered homage in the Panthic tradition. Former Jathedar Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti's cremation was attended by his wife Bibi Harbhajan Kaur, daughter Amanpreet Kaur, Bhai Jagbir Singh and other family members. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were additional head granthi Giani Jagtar Singh Ludhiana, Granthi Giani Gurminder Singh, SGPC senior vice president S. Surjit Singh Bhitewad, general secretary Adv Bhagwant Singh Sialka, chief secretary Adv Harjinder Singh Dhami, former Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, former Jathedar of Takht Sri Patna Sahib Giani Iqbal Singh, former Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Kewal Singh, former Granthi Giani Jaswinder Singh, and others.
