Amritsar, February 12:
A seminar is being organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) dedicated to the 400th prakash purab (birth anniversary) of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the ninth Sikh Guru, at Trai Shatabdi Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Amritsar on Saturday.
The SGPC has also decided to conduct Gurmat Samagam, Nagar Kirtan as well as special seminars at various places dedicated to the 400th prakash purab.
The first seminar will be held at the Trai Shatabdi Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College in Amritsar.
The seminar would be presided over by SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur while former president Prof Kirpal Singh Badungar would be the chief guest.
On this occasion Prof Ravinder Kaur and Dr Dharam Singh will read research pamphlets journals on the life and philosophy of the Ninth Sikh guru.
Apart from this the students of the college will present Shabad Gayan (Gurbani singing), Kavishari (poerty) and the speech of thanks will be given by Dr Tajinder Kaur, director education, SGPC.
Prominent personalities and scholars will be present during the seminar.
