Amritsar, June 20:  The officials and employees working at Langar (community kitchen), Sri Guru Ramdas Ji at Sri Darbar Sahib organised Sri Akhand Path Sahib for Sarbat Da Bhala (welfare of all) and the bhog (concluding ceremony) of the same was held on Monday.

On this occasion, hazuri raagi jatha (Gurbani hymn singing group) of Bhai Gurbachan Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan and the ardas (prayer) was offered by Bhai Salwinder Singh. The holy hukamnama was recited by Giani Jagtar Singh Ludhiana, additional head granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib.

Sharing his views with the Sangat, Giani Jagtar Singh said that Sewa (voluntary service) holds great importance in Sikh history and the selfless Sewa at the Guru’s house does not go in vain. He lauded the efforts of the employees serving at Langar, Sri Guru Ramdas Ji and said that the traditions of Sikh faith are well suited for the welfare of humanity.

On this occasion Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) additional secretary S. Partap Singh, assistant secretary media S. Kulwinder Singh, S. Harjit Singh, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Sulakhan Singh, manager Baghel Singh, S. Satnam Singh, S. Sukhraj Singh, in-charge S. Gurcharan Singh, S. Balwinder Singh, S. Sukhbir Singh, superintendent Malkeet Singh, S. Gurpreet Singh, additional manager S. Iqbal Singh, S. Paramjit Singh, S. Nishan Singh, S. Satnam Singh, accountant S. Upkar Singh, and the entire staff of Sri Darbar Sahib were present.
