To plan future strategy under efforts to struggle for release of Bandi Singhs (Sikh political prisoners), the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has started holding district wise meetings with SGPC members.

SGPC President today held a discussion on the issue of Bandi Singhs in a meeting at the main office with SGPC members of Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts.

After the meeting, SGPC President Advocate Dhami said that the issue of release of Bandi Singhs is important for Sikh Qaum (community) and the Sikh body, SGPC is continuously making efforts for the same. He said the SGPC will intensify these efforts in future and discussions are being held for the same with the members. He said the next call will be given after holding discussions with members from all the districts.

Present in today’s meeting included former President Alvinder Singh, executive members Harjap Singh, Amarjit Singh, Balwinder Singh, members Bhai Rajinder Singh, Manjit Singh, Surjit Singh, Amarjit Singh, Mangwinder Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Amarjit Singh, Ajaib Singh, and Sukhwarsh Singh.
