Amritsar, September 24:
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) marked the birth anniversary of Bhai Lalo Ji, a devoted Sikh of Guru Nanak Dev, at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall on Saturday.
After the bhog (concluding ceremony) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, group of hazuri raagi jatha Bhai Navneet Singh connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan. Ardas (prayer) was offered by Bhai Salwinder Singh and the holy hukamnama was recited by kathawachak (discourse narrator) Bhai Sukhwinder Singh.
Sharing information about the dedicated life of Bhai Lalo Ji, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh said that his life is good guidance for the society, from which, one gets the inspiration to connect with the Karta Purakh (True One) while doing the work of Dharma (righteousness).
On this occasion, SGPC member Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka congratulated the Sangat on the birth anniversary of Bhai Lalo Ji. He said that the first Guru gave great respect to Bhai Lalo Ji and taught humanity to do true work. He appealed to the Sangat that we should live our lives according to the principles blessed by the Gurus, of doing work, remembering the True One and of sharing.
Present on this occasion included additional secretary Pratap Singh, assistant Gurmeet Singh Buttar, Gurcharan Singh Kuhala, Lakhbir Singh, manager Baghel, additional manager Nishan Singh, and the Sangat.
