Ongoing educational session recorded an increase of students by 11,000

Amritsar, November 1:  The educational institutions of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) are leading forward in spreading the light of education as well as sports, social activities and moral education. The number of students is increasing every year in SGPC’s educational institutions. This was said by SGPC’s education secretary Sukhminder Singh, after a high-level meeting held here regarding educational priorities.

He said the educational policy of SGPC is multi-faceted, under which, apart from academic priorities, interests are created in the students to become good citizens of society. He said great efforts are made for the determination of moral qualities, so that values of humanity and social life can prevail in the students. He said a series of meetings has been started under the evaluation of the performance of educational institutions, and necessary arrangements will be made according to the suggestions received.

Sukhminder Singh said that the educational institutions of SGPC have an outstanding contribution in the education structure of Punjab and they are brightening the future of a large section of students in the region. He said these educational institutions have a significant contribution in ending unemployment among the youth, as thousands of youths are earning their livelihood by getting employment here.

The SGPC education secretary said that an increase of 8,000 students in SGPC’s schools and 3,400 students in colleges is a matter of satisfaction. He said the SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami is continuously working for the better performance of educational institutions and his order is that no deficiency should be tolerated and every policy should be adopted to improve the personality of students.

In the meeting held to evaluate performance of education institutions those present included director education Principal Satwant Kaur, in-charge education Karaj Singh, Manindermohan Singh, Principal Dr Gagandeep Singh, Principal Dr Phulwinder Singh, Dr Kanwaljit Kaur, Dr Harmandeep Singh, Prof Dhian Singh, Dr Jaspal Singh, Dr Jatinder Kaur, Principal Amandeep Kaur, Dr Prabhdeep Kaur, Principal Jagrup Kaur, Principal Maninderpal Kaur and principals of several institutions.
