Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has congratulated young Sikh Prof Kalyan Singh of Pakistan, for completing Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree on Gurbani of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Expressing happiness, SGPC President said that the minority Sikhs in Pakistan are flourishing the philosophy of the Sikh Gurus and it was a step in this direction for Prof Kalyan Singh that he made Gurbani of the first Guru, the basis of his research.
Advocate Dhami said that the birth of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru, from the land of Sri Nankana Sahib now in Pakistan and his message of truth to all mankind through Gurbani, holds great significance in the religious history of the world and there is a big need for preaching and propagating the same.
“Prof Kalyan Singh has done good work at the academic level by making the message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in his Gurbani, a part of research and it is commendable. The initiative of this Sikh youth of Pakistan would undoubtedly inspire youths as well”, said Advocate Dhami.
