SGPC to take legal action against Kiran Bedi: S. Harjinder Singh
Amritsar, June 15: Raising strong objection to the former IPS officer Kiran Bedi’s objectionable remarks on Sikhs, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh condemned it strongly.
Advocate S. Harjinder Singh said that Kiran Bedi should read the Sikh history that how the Sikhs stopped the invaders at 12 O’ Clock at the time of Abdali’s rule when they used to invade Hindustan to rob invaluable items and women to sell them off at the Ghazni’s market and that how the Sikhs who always remained ready to help people attacked the invaders and returned the robbed items and women with due respect to their places.
He said Kiran Bedi hails from Punjab and therefore, she should have understanding of the history of Sikhs.
“But Kiran Bedi’s remarks on Sikhs are shocking and shameful, which have hurt the sentiments of the entire Qaum. SGPC is sending a legal notice to Kiran Bedi, so that relevant legal action could be taken against her”, said S. Harjinder Singh.
