Arrests of four accused in Kanpur 1984 Sikh Genocide welcome, but every accused should be punished: S. Harjinder Singh

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh has welcomed the Turban Day related Act passed by Manitoba state of Canada. As per this Act passed, now every year April 13 will be celebrated as Turban Day in Manitoba state of Canada.
SGPC President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh said dastar (turban) is an integral part of Sikh living and today, Sikhs living across globe are increasing the pride of Sikh identity by wearing turbans. “Respect and recognition to turban on behalf of government in any country is satisfying and a matter of happiness. This has been possible with the efforts of Sikhs living across globe and their achievements at the international level”, said S. Harjinder Singh, while thanking government of Manitoba state and congratulating the Sikhs.
Meanwhile, SGPC President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh has welcomed the arrests of four accused involved in 1984 Kanpur Sikh Genocide case and demanded strict punishments for every accused involved in this pogrom.
“In 1984, Sikhs were massacred in different parts of the country and the accused involved in these crimes are still evading punishments. Until every accused people are given exemplary punishments, the hearts of survivor and victim Sikhs will not be at peace”, said S. Harjinder Singh.
