Amritsar, December 7: Bapu Surat Singh also filled the form in support of the signature campaign started by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for the release of Bandi Singhs (Sikh prisoners). Bapu Surat Singh has been struggling for the release of Sikh prisoners for a long time.
SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami today met Bapu Surat Singh at a hospital in Ludhiana and ascertained about his health condition, when he appreciated the signature campaign started by SGPC to create a mass movement for the release of Sikh prisoners.
On this occasion, while filling the form, Bapu Surat Singh appealed to the Sangat to participate in this campaign with enthusiasm and said that he will also work to get a large number of forms filled and submit them to the SGPC.
Meanwhile, SGPC President said that the issue of the release of Sikh prisoners is the issue of the entire Sikh community and he respects everyone who is struggling for this cause. He said Bapu Surat Singh has also struggled hard for release of Sikh prisoners, which is a source of inspiration for all.
