Amritsar, July 25:

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has stayed the decision of a court of FCR Chandigarh, in favor of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), regarding the case of property mutation in different villages owned by Gurdwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib, Hoshiar Nagar, Amritsar.

Sharing information about this case, SGPC Secretary Partap Singh said that the direct management of Gurdwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib, Hoshiar Nagar, came to the SGPC on April 7, 2010, as per the notification of the Government of India. Before this, the Sikh Gurdwara Judicial Commission had appointed the then SGPC Secretary as a receiver on October 13, 2005, and handed over the management of the Gurdwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib and all the associated property. Under this right, the SGPC is managing this Gurdwara Sahib for a long time.

Partap Singh said that the 99-year-old lease of Baba Mangal Singh related to the property of Gurdwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib was canceled by the then Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar, Kahan Singh Pannu. In this regard, Baba Gurpinder Singh filed a case in the court of the Commissioner of Jalandhar Division, which was dismissed. He said that some people misled Baba Gurpinder Singh and after 2,601 days a case was lodged in the court of FCR Chandigarh, and its decision regarding the property of Gurdwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib in different villages was challenged in the High Court by SGPC. He said that yesterday, the High Court stayed the decision of FCR Chandigarh in favor of the SGPC.

Meanwhile, the SGPC’s legal adviser Advocate Amanbir Singh Siyali, and the manager of Gurudwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib Harwinder Singh said that some mischievous people deliberately want to grab the properties of the Guru’s house deliberately, but the SGPC will continue to take all legal measures against such conspiracies. On this occasion, SGPC assistant secretary Gurcharan Singh Kuhala was also present.
