The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has started the preparations to send its jatha (batch of Sikh pilgrims) for attending Khalsa Sajna Diwas (Vaisakhi) congregation at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib in Pakistan. The Sikh body has urged the pilgrims interested to visit Pakistan on pilgrimage during Vaisakhi in April 2023, to deposit their passports up to December 31, 2022.

SGPC secretary Partap Singh informed that like every year, the Sikh jatha would visit Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib in Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas. “This year also, the Sikh jatha would visit Pakistan in April 2023, and the pilgrims have been requested to deposit their passports up to December 31 with the SGPC’s Yatra Department”, he said.

Partap Singh said along with passports, the interest Sikh pilgrims should deposit their documents including identity proof i.e. Aadhar or ration or voter card along with mandatory recommendation of their concerned constituency SGPC member.

He appealed to the Sikh Sangat to deposit their passports and documents in time so that the visa process could be completed timely.
