Amritsar, November 15:
The 102nd Foundation Day of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) was celebrated here at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall located at Sri Darbar Sahib campus. Expressed devotion on martyrdom day of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh

SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami congratulating the Sikhs on the foundation day of SGPC said that the history of this Sikh organization, which came into existence with the sacrifices of Sikhs, has been very honorable for a century. This premier organization of the Sikh community has made notable achievements in the fields of religious preaching, education, health, Sikh issues, sports and public welfare, along with the service and maintenance of Gurdwara Sahibs. He said that today efforts are being made to break this representative organization of Sikhs. The governments are trying their best to weaken the Sikh power by creating divisions among the Sikhs, but the Sikh community will never allow these mischievous conspiracies to succeed. Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the SGPC has been working for the betterment of the Sikh community in the light of its glorious history, traditions and customs and will continue to do so in the future.
Meanwhile, SGPC President also paid homage and respect to Shaheed Baba Deep Singh, on the occasion of his martyrdom day. He said that the martyrdom given by the important hero of Sikh history, Shaheed Baba Deep Singh, for the sanctity of Sri Darbar Sahib is a source of inspiration for the Sangat, from which they should get guidance and resolve to guard the shrines and institutions.
