Tributes paid by offering condolences to Principal Surinder Singh, SGPC office closed

Amritsar, June 14:

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh expressed grief over the demise of SGPC Junior Vice-President Principal Surinder Singh.

S. Harjinder Singh said the Panthak services offered by Principal Surinder Singh in the field of Dharam Prachar (religious preaching) will always be remembered. He said the passing away of such a personality who dedicated his entire life to the preaching of Sikh faith is a big Panthak loss, which cannot be fulfilled.

He said apart from making his identity as a scholarly Sikh, Principal Surinder Singh played an important role in the administrative work of SGPC and he always gave sound guidance for the Charhdi Kala (high spirit) of the organisation.

SGPC senior vice-president S. Raghujit Singh, general secretary Jathedar Karnail Singh and other Panthak personalities also expressed their condolences on the demise of Principal Surinder Singh.

Meanwhile, a condolences gathering was done at Teja Singh Samundri Hall, in which, tributes were paid to the departed soul by reciting Mool-Mantra and Gur-Mantra. Later, the SGPC offices were closed.

Those present included SGPC executive member S. Balwinder Singh, S. Amarjit Singh, SGPC member Bhai Manjit Singh, S. Bhagwant Singh, additional secretary S. Partap Singh, assistant secretary S. Kulwinder Singh, S. Balwinder Singh, S. Sakatar Singh, S. Gurinder Singh, S. Gurmeet Singh, S. Tejinder Singh, superintendent S. Malkeet Singh and staff of SGPC, Dharam Prachar Committee and Sri Darbar Sahib.
