Amritsar, April 21: Advocate S. Harjinder Singh, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), strongly condemned the attack on family of Mastan Singh, former President of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC).
S Harjinder Singh demanded that the government of Pakistan and especially the Evacuee Trust Property Board to take stern action against the attackers.  SGPC President said that the attack on the Sikh leader and his family by the land mafia is a major blow to the minority Sikhs and the perpetrators should be severely punished.
“If family of a well-known Sikh leader like Mastan Singh is not safe inside Pakistan, then how can ordinary Sikhs be safe there. Government of Pakistan should pay special attention in this regard and ensure the safety of the Sikhs living there”, said S. Harjinder Singh.
SGPC President also appealed to the Government of India to talk to the Government of Pakistan at the diplomatic level and take appropriate steps to protect the lives and property of Sikhs.
