The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s (SGPC) hockey team has brightened the name of Sikh body by winning various competitions. In the recently held 66th Punjab State School Games, the under-14 hockey team of SGPC secured first position and the under-19 hockey team secured the second position. Today, the advisor of the hockey team Gurmeet Singh and coaches arrived here at the SGPC office with the winning symbols and shared the information on achievements. He said that while the SGPC’s hockey team won the All India Hockey Gold Cup held at Gurdaspur, the U-14 team won the first position and the U-19 team won the second position in the 66th Punjab State School Games. Similarly, in the competition of Inter Punjab Hockey Academies held at Bajidpur, Ferozepur, the U-16 team has won the first position and made the SGPC proud.

On this occasion, SGPC secretary Pratap Singh said that the hockey team of Sabat Soorat (Sikh with unshorn hair) Sikh players prepared by the Sikh body (SGPC) is making great achievements. He praised the players in the SGPC’s hockey team and encouraged them to play harder in the future.

On this occasion, additional secretary Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, hockey team advisor Gurmeet Singh, coaches Bhupinder Singh, Prakash Singh, Avtar Singh, Prem Singh, Surjit Singh, supervisor Randhir Singh and Hardeep Singh were present.
