Amritsar, February 16: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee celebrated the Janam Diharha (birth anniversary) of Bhagat Ravidas Ji with devotion at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall today.          After the bhog (culmination) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the hazuri raagi jatha of Bhai Harwinder Singh, connected the Sangat (congregation) with Gurbani Kirtan and kathawachak (narrator) Bhai Harmitar Singh expressed his views on the life and ideology of Bhagat Ravidas Ji.

During the event, SGPC secretary S. Mohinder Singh Ahli appealed to the Sangat to take inspiration from the life of Bhagat Ravidas Ji. He said the holy Bani (writing) of Bhagat Ravidas Ji recorded in Sri Guru Granth Sahib guides humanity.

Meanwhile, during the event at Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, the dhadi (balladeer) and kavishar groups connected the Sangat with the Guru’s history.

Those present on this occasion included SGPC secretary S. Mohinder Singh Ahli, additional secretary S. Partap Singh, assistant secretaries S. Sukhbir Singh and S. Nirveil Singh, manager S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, superintendent S. Malkit Singh Beharwal, additional manager S. Nishan Singh and more.

Similarly, the birth anniversary of Bibi Bhani Ji was also celebrated with devotion at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Gurbakhsh Singh Ji today. On this occasion, the hazuri raagi jatha of Bhai Jora Singh connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan and granthi Giani Baljit Singh of Sri Harmandar Sahib shared the katha (story) views.
