Amritsar, January 22: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami expressed grief over the damage of holy saroop (scripture) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in fire due to an electric short circuit at Dhariwal Bhojan village in Gurdaspur district.
Advocate Dhami said the Sangat is time and again appealed to take care of the electric equipment and keep a vigil inside Gurdwara Sahibs at all the times.
“But it is unfortunate that due to negligence of the management committees the painful incidents of fire due to electric short circuit take place inside the Gurdwaras”, said Advocate Dhami.
SGPC President appealed to the gurdwara management committees and the sewadars to perform alert service while managing the Gurdwara Sahib and to run the electric equipment as per requirement only. He appealed to the gurdwara managers and the Sangat to discharge their responsibility cordially.
