Amritsar, January 6:
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Sri Amritsar held bhog (culmination) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib to commemorate martyrs Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh on their martyrdom day at Gurdwara Jhanda Bunga Sahib inside Sri Darbar Sahib Complex on Thursday.
The jatha of hazuri raagi of Sri Harmandar Sahib, Bhai Shubhdeep Singh connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan. The ardas (prayer) was offered by Bhai Prem Singh and the holy hukamnama was recited by granthi Giani Gurminder Singh.
During the event, Bhai Waryam Singh, brother of Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh and more were honoured with the Guru’s blessing Siropao (robe of honour) by Giani Gurminder Singh, SGPC members Bhai Manjit Singh Bhurakohna, and Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka.
On this occasion, SGPC additional secretary S. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, S. Paramjit Singh Saroa, S. Partap Singh, head granth of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, superintendent S. Malkit Singh Beharwal, manager S. Baghel Singh, assistant manager S. Nishan Singh, former additional manager S. Harjinder Singh, Bhai Jarnail Singh Sakhira, Bhai Beant Singh Khiala and the Sangat were present.
