Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh appeal to Panthak Jathebandis to participate in meeting to be held on May 3

Amritsar, April 26: Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh, Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib appealed to the Panthak Jathebandis (organisations) to participate in the meeting called by Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh, to discuss the issue of publication of Gurbani after its distortion by a US-based person.

Giani Jagtar Singh said, “Nobody has the right to add words, make changes or distort the holy Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. But some people have distorted the Gurbani and hurt the sentiments of the Sikh Sangat. This act of accused of Panth cannot be tolerated.”

Giani Jagtar Singh added that the issue of distortion or tampering with Gurbani is very serious and all the jathebandis of the Khalsa Panth should be united to tackle this.

He said that to discuss this issue in the Panthak manner, a special meeting has been called on May 3 by the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

He appealed to all the jathebandis to forget their differences and participate in the meeting at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on May 3, so that, an appropriate action would be taken through Panthak discussion, against the accused people who tampered with or distorted the holy Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
