Amritsar, March 18: Taking an important decision, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has appointed assistant secretary S. Sulakhan Singh Bhangali as manager of Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Darbar Sahib.

S. Bhangali has been appointed in place of S. Gurinder Singh, while S. Gurinder Singh has been transferred as assistant secretary.

Speaking in this regard, SGPC assistant secretary media S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas said SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has ordered some administrative transfers, under which, S. Sulakhan Singh Bhangali has been appointed as manager of Sri Darbar Sahib.

S. Ramdas said another transfer included S. Satnam Singh, in-charge of Flying Department as additional manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Similarly, S. Sukhbir Singh, in-charge of establishment at Dharam Prachar Committee (DPC) has been transferred as in-charge of Flying Department and S. Balwinder Singh, in-charge RTI as in-charge of establishment DPC.

Meanwhile, S. Sulakhan Singh Bhangali while taking charge of service as manager of Sri Darbar Sahib, thanked SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami. S. Sulakhan Singh said he will make an effort to perform his duty with the support of Sangat and administrative establishment under the fear and inclination towards the Guru.

On the occasion of S. Sulakhan Singh taking charge of his service, those present included assistant secretary S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, S. Balwinder Singh, S. Sakatar Singh, superintendent S. Malkit Singh, in-charge S. Harbhajan Singh, S. Sukhbir Singh, S. Nirmal Singh, manager S. Sukhraj Singh, S. Baghel Singh, S. Satnam Singh and others.

In case of woman caught smoking in Sri Harmandar Sahib complex, SGPC President takes strict action

In case of a woman caught attempting to smoke birhi inside parikarma (circumambulation) of Sri Harmandar Sahib, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has taken strict action against the employees for negligence.

SGPC assistant secretary media S. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas said on the basis of the investigation report of SGPC’s Flying Department, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has ordered suspension of seven employees and transfer of three.

S. Kulwinder Singh said the suspended employees include manager S. Narinder Singh, additional manager S. Paramjit Singh, nigran (invigilator) S. Gurshinder Singh, clerk-cum-nigran S. Rajwinder Singh, sewadars Bhai Ranjit Singh and Bhai Kuldeep Singh of Sewa Dal, and sewadar Bhai Sukhwinder Singh of Task Force. He added the headquarters of suspended employees have been made at different Gurdwara Sahibs.
